1. Ludum Dare 23
Ludum Dare is a regular accelerated game development Event. Participants develop games from scratch in a weekend, based on a theme suggested by the community. The event attracts developers from all sides of the industry. Students, hobbyists, industry professionals from many well respected game studios, as well as many independent game developers. For many people, it can be difficult to find or make the time create a game or prototype for yourself. Ludum Dare is your excuse.
I used to make flash games really rapidly as a hobby but slowed down a lot recently when I started focusing on a bigger project, but now that that’s done I want to get back into it and spend some more time on smaller stuff, but was really demotivated lately, so this whole event really helped out with that.

2. Vlambeer: announced Luftrausers
Luftrausers is basically Luftrauser redone from scratch, with everything ten times as spectacular. The biggest difference is that you’ll be able to build your own Rauser.
Just last week during the Utrecht Indie Meetup Jan Willem and I discussed that something felt slightly off about how things were going recently. Basically, Vlambeer has been focusing on earning money for a really big project that we want to do. We’ve been doing talks, events and a lot of other, great things. But we feel that we should put the focus back it where should be: making games.
3. Lone Survivor on Steam
Lone Survivor is the result of 4 years of a single person working on a very personal game. Jasper Byrne, creator of Soul Brother has already managed to create one of the best indie games of the year with this oldschool psychological survival horror gem. Go buy the game now!
